Here at RoughRiders Hockey Club – Cedar Rapids (RRHC) we are in the process of building our girls program. With that said, we have a very good strong core of local RRHC girls for the creation of 10U, 12U & 14U girls only tournament teams and our 16U full season team locally.

We provide opportunities for female players to join hockey here at RRHC through our Instructional Program (IP), RoughRiders Youth Hockey League (RYHL), or traveling tournament teams.

RRHC Girls Hockey Philosophies:

• Hockey is a sport that should be enjoyed by every person regardless of gender, ability, race, or socioeconomic status.
• 10U, 12U & 14U Girls Tournament Team
• RRHC supports the development through the belief that boys and girls should play together through 12U. In our world it is important that both genders learn to work together and as a youth sports club it is our responsibility to provide this experience.
• 10U-14U will participate in 3 girls only tournaments in relation to the Mid-West Girls Hockey League (MGHL).
• 14U+ Girls Full Season
• RRHC does offer a 14U/16U full season girls team that is not COED.
• RRHC does offer an option for a tournament player only if the roster size permits.

Jersey Fittings

We will offer three different uniforms and pre-game apparel fittings. This is our 4th year with our uniforms and apparel, so this is the last year. Use this information to decide whether to get new jerseys. For example:

This is just an order, and you will be invoiced later for the uniforms via invoice. All apparel will be paid for at the USHL front office.

1. The tournament teams are in addition to your current home association schedule. Your home association takes precedence over playing for our teams.
2. If possible – NOT REQUIRED – we will provide you an option to come down and join us for a practice or two leading up to the tournament weekends.
3. Your current home association can NOT have a current girls’ team for your age group.
4. Jerseys and socks will be provided for your player for the weekend and returned afterwards for tournament team player. If you’d like to purchase them that can be discussed later.
